PITCH is how high or low a sound is.
The STAVE is a set of five lines and four spaces that shows pitch in written form (called musical notation)

At the beginning of a stave, a symbol called a CLEF is written to show the how high the pitch of the notes are on the stave. There are three main types of clefs: TREBLE, BASS and ALTO.
The TREBLE clef is the highest of the three clefs, and is used for high sounding instruments such as the violin, flute, trumpet etc. It also shows the right hand part of a piano piece.
The treble clef wraps around the 2nd line – the line that represents the first G above the MIDDLE C (the C in the middle of the keyboard). This is why the treble clef is also called the G Clef.

The 4th stave line, which falls between the two dots represents the first F below the middle C. This is why the bass clef is also called the F Clef.

The line in the middle of the alto clef bracket shows where middle C is. This is why the alto clef is also called the C Clef.
